BODY OF WORK: ILLUSION, 2013
I see the enticing shackles of our society: order and control radiating calm and lethargy. Keeping us functioning. This order, along with our illusion of being in control of it, is utterly laughable.
Illusionary Misperception
In the strict sense of the word, an illusion is a false perception of reality – a sensory deception. When something genuinely present is perceived as something different (or mistaken for something else) than it actually is, it is referred to as 'illusionary misperception'. Delusion, by contrast, is not designated as a perception but as a misjudgment of reality – so to speak, a false belief about it, held with a certainty independent of concrete experience, much like a firm conviction or fixed idea. The more frequently perceptual judgments are reinforced, the more they are internalized as truth, solidifying into habits of thought and behavior.

Body Of Work, Vienna 2013:
Created as part of a university project on fine art photography: A converted Illy coffee tin served as a pinhole camera with an exposure time of about one minute. The subjects were ordinary transport lattice boxes (gitterboxes) – yet through extreme perspective and inherent optical diffusion, a visual deception emerges, appearing as monumental skyscraper facades of a megalopolitan skyline. The rigid order of logistics transforms into the illusion of urban power.
